Build a Castle by the Sea
You and your little tike can try your hand at architecture on South Beach, located inside American Camp on the Southern tip of San Juan Island. Logs dotting the seaside landscape offer the perfect material for you to build that fort by the sea you've always wanted.

Explore the Deep Blue Sea
Looking for that perfect swimming hole for your little beach babe? Eagle Cove neighboring South Beach just outside of American Camp offers a sandy beach and shallow waters. When the sun shines, the usually cool Pacific Northwest waters warm right up. This makes Eagle Cove an exceptional spot to make a splash.

Bring binoculars and scope out the rocky headland to the right of the cove 'cause seals haul themselves out of the water to baskin the sun!
Go Muddin'
Head out to False Bay on the West side of San Juan Island during low tide and play in the mud! The waters retreat back to show off a whole new world to explore.
